Other attractions within a short drive of our glass bottom boat!
All photography done by us whilst onboard the microlight and fixed wing scenic flights - Enjoy!

  Mangrove Bay
Mangrove Bay close-up

Located only 5km south from where we run our glass bottom boat tours at Tantabiddi, Mangrove Bay is a heaven for bird-watchers. An bird observation hide has been built here which provides an excellent viewing area to study the birdlife in the area. This most unique and fascinating ecosystem teams with life both above and below water at high and low tides. Mangrove Bay is located in the Cape Range National Park - entrance fees apply.

Vlaming Head Lighthouse

Located about 20km north from where we run our glass bottom boat tours at Tantabiddi, the Vlaming Head Lighthouse overlooks Lighthouse Bay and has the distinction of being one of the few places in Australia where you can watch the sun rise and set over water. The Lighthouse was built in 1912 and stands on the northernmost tip of the Cape Range. The close up views of the lighthouse with its spectacular coastal scenery from the lookout along with the commentary from our guides can be experienced on our 2.5 Hr Coral Viewing, Snorkelling, and Coastal Explorer Tour .

Turquoise Bay
Ningaloo reef Turquiose Bay

Located about 30km south from where we run our glass bottom boat tours at Tantabiddi, Turquoise Bay is the most iconic and a must see destinantion for anyone visiting Ningaloo Reef. With its beautiful sandy beach and a colour of the water that must be seen to be believed, Turquoise Bay is a dream-come-true to many visitors.

The drift snorkel site is a host to many beautiful varieties of fish and coral but is a subject to very strong currents and should be approached with utmost caution in the water. While virtually all the coral species found at Turquoise Bay can be found whilst touring on glass bottom boat with us, on our 2.5 Hr Coral Viewing, Snorkelling and Coastal Explorer Tour we see numerous others as well, not found on the beach and along with them numerous other fish species (also not found in the proximity of the beach).

Yardie Creek Gorge
Yardie Creek in Cape Range National Park

Located at the end of the bitumen road in Cape Range NP and only about 50km south from where we run our glass bottom boat tours lies the "gem of the Cape Range National Park" - the mysterious Yardie Creek Gorge. The Yardie Creek Gorge can be accessed on foot (along the approx. 1.5km walking trail), and on water (Yardie Creek boat tour operated by the Department of Conservation). Both experiences are fantastic with the latter one offering a fascinating commentary from DEC staff onboard the vessel. Rare Black Footed Rock Wallabies can be sighted here along with a multitude of bird life! Another must see! : )

Whaleshark Activities

Best whaleshark snorkel view from the air!
In season (April - July) the magnificent whalesharks arrive on Ningaloo! Sighted daily utilising spotter planes, these largest fish in the ocean have been sighted to be as large as 10m on Ningaloo. There are several whaleshark operators in the Exmouth area that can look after you very well. While coming on a whaleshark tour can take a good chunk of your travelling budget, the thrills of snorkelling with whalesharks truly are unforgettable and for many they top the "Bucket List" ; )

Oftentime the families and couples send one member on a whaleshark tour, while the other one is often looking for something to do - that's when our 2.5Hr Coral Viewing, Snorkelling and Coastal Explorer Extravaganza  can come real handy! At only $60/adult and $25/child it can keep the rest of the family entertained during the day while mom or dad are out having a thrill of their life in the big blue!
